Note: The transition from 5-screw to 3-screw cartridges in Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) games was primarily a cost-saving measure implemented by Nintendo during the late 1980s. This change occasionally coincided with updates to other aspects of the game's packaging, including the Universal Product Code (UPC) and/or a color change to the Nintendo Seal of Quality (SOQ). Not all NES games underwent a UPC change during this transition and many retained the same UPC across both cartridge designs.
