Game Description: Excitebike is a "programmable series" motocross racing game where players control a dirt bike rider competing on obstacle-filled tracks. The gameplay involves accelerating, tilting the bike to land jumps correctly, and managing engine temperature to prevent overheating. Players can race solo for the best time or compete against computer-controlled opponents. With its track editor and fast-paced action, Excitebike remains a classic arcade-style racer.
Note: The transition from 5-screw to 3-screw cartridges in Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) games was primarily a cost-saving measure implemented by Nintendo during the late 1980s. This change occasionally coincided with updates to other aspects of the game's packaging, including the Universal Product Code (UPC) and/or a color change to the Nintendo Seal of Quality (SOQ). Not all NES games underwent a UPC change during this transition and many retained the same UPC across both cartridge designs.
